July 4th and Tradition

July 4th...the day we celebrate our Nation's independence. For many it is just another day but in my family it's all about...well, freedom, family, and traditions. Every year the family (as many as can make it down to our Florida celebration location) gathers together, has a cookout, and watches a Lakeland Tiger's baseball game followed by the awesome fireworks show. Here are a few pics of our Fourth of July Fun!
This is what Julia and I did as the men cooked the steaks. Swinging! Yes...I still love it.

After the cookout we went to the Lakeland Tiger's baseball game against the Dunedin Blue Jays.

Ben came down from South Carolina to visit Rach. He also bought them matching red Keds for her birthday so they could wear them on the 4th.

Bama and Boppa were there too. It wouldn't be July 4th without them!
Julia and Jessica came down with Uncle Mike and Aunt Chris to spend the day with us! James was at Eagle Scout camp working to earn badges.
These were my seat buddies for the baseball game. :) Love you Josh and Julia.

After the game was over we had to sit through a boring concert so Jessica and Julia entertained ourselves by listening to some tunes on my iPod. :) Good stuff!
This is Julia and I listening to "I Love My Lips" by Veggie Rocks!

This is Jessica and I listening to "Hold Me" by Jaime Grace.

To give you an even greater idea of how patriotic my family and I are here are a few pictures of our patriotic nails...yes, we do paint our nails for one day of fun. :)

Well...that's it! There's our day in just a few pics! I hope that you enjoy looking at our memories as much as we enjoyed making them!

From my family to yours have a blessed day and thank Him for our freedom!
